My Little Road Trip Box Review!

Hello and Namaste to all!

I am very, very excited to show you the contents of my July 2015 My Little Box that I received around the middle of July. It is called My Little Road Trip Box because the theme of this month is road trip! So, it is obvious that the products in the box will be road trip appropriate and related.  Being a travel enthusiast myself, I was really looking forward to receiving this box.

The design of the box is so cute as usual and I especially love the map design on the sides of the box. My Little Box never fails to impress me with their box designs.

As always the contents of the box were neatly tied together with a pretty ribbon. As is their custom, a little post card with a really nice quote and a cute drawing was waiting for me right at the top.

"Life is like a Road Trip: enjoy each day, and don't carry too much baggage" reads the post card. With it, I also received a poster magazine which to be honest, I did not enjoy reading as much as last month's. The interview with Sarah Lavoine was much more interesting.

The first item I spot is a small rectangular, flat box that is decorated like a map. Inside awaits a travel organiser! It is made of plastic material and has been beautifully decorated with Kanako's wonderful artwork. It looks so cute and I am sure will be very handy when I do plan to travel abroad. Inside, there is space for tickets, banknotes and paper souvenirs. The quality is also very good. The travel organiser costs £10.50 and can be purchased from My Little Corner.

As I continue to examine the contents of the box, a brown envelope sort of product catches my attention, hiding underneath the travel organiser. When I pick it up, I find that it is actually a postcard that has been decorated again with Kanako's artwork. However, this time the artwork has been drawn solely with ball pen! I love the drawing! The post card is actually like a mini notebook. The notebook can be 'folded, stamped and sent'. Now, that is innovative! It is perfect to jot down memories when on a road trip or just on a vacation.

The post card/ notebook has been produced in collaboration with BIC. This Ready-to-Send Notebook costs £3.50 and can be purchased from My Little Corner. The notebook also came with a Cristal Stylus Pen by BIC. It looks very much like a normal ball pen except that it's end is touch screen friendly. The pen costs £1.40.

The pouch is becoming one of my favourite sights inside of My Little Box as I know by now that is a beauty pouch. This month, the pouch is pink in colour and is decorated with stars again. As soon as I opened the pouch, a really strong but pleasant fragrance greeted me. It smelled to me like summer fruits.

I felt kind of over the moon when I found this product inside the pouch. My very first Essie nail polish, thanks to My Little Box! I wasn't instantly impressed by the colour though. However, I think the colour has grown to my liking now. I just hope it is not too sheer. The name of the colour is 'time for me time'. It is a light pink colour which has a pearl finish. It also seems to have a little duo chromatic effect. It costs £7.99 and can be purchased from virtually any drugstore.

The next thing I found was a Summer Sorbet by My Little Beauty. I then realised that the fragrance I detected earlier was all thanks to this product. It smells so delicious! I cannot wait to try it out even if it is just for the fragrance! The Summer Sorbet claims to 'leave your skin feeling refreshed and smelling delicious'! It costs £9 and can be purchased from My Little Corner.

The next product is not one that I am not familiar with. In fact, I think I have seen this product many times in drugstores but in a larger size. I usually use cleansing wipes to remove my makeup hence, I never considered buying it. It is the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water. The one I have received in my box is a much smaller and convenient size. It will be perfect to take with me when I travel. It claims to remove makeup, cleanse the skin and soothe it, all in one step. There is also no rinsing required afterwards. The product costs £1.99 and can be purchased from any drugstore.

I actually missed this item and didn't realise that it was in the pouch with the other products. Only, when I read the information leaflets did I realise that I was supposed to also receive a Golden temporary tattoo set by DCER. I then began to frantically search for it in the box and finally found it hiding in the pouch. What a relief! I think this summer has been all about flash tattoos and I am really happy to receive it however, I have not had the chance to try out any. The set contains 10 tattoos that look very wearable. They cost £3.50 and can be purchased from DCER's website.

The pouch also contained some leaflets with information about the various products in the box. Always handy to have them isn't it?

So, that is everything I received in My Little Road Trip box this month. On the whole, I liked the contents and the concept of the box. There has been a product repetition this month which is the nail polish but I don't mind since I am myself guilty of being a nail polish collector. Although, I do wish the nail colour would have been something different.

I hope it was an interesting read for you all and do leave me comments on how you found the blog post.

Keep travelling and exploring the world around you!

Ambika.
