Today I would like to share with you guys a new and exciting beauty discovery. I think that just from the first sentence of this post you can figure out what this review is going to be like. So, the new beauty discovery that I made very recently is Maybelline's Lash Sensational mascara that has proven to be a sensation lately in the mascara world.
I bought the mascara in Superdrug for £7.99. The mascara claims to make your lashes look visibly multiplied and fuller. Apparently, the inner bristles on the wand capture your tiniest lashes and the outer bristles target your longer lashes. Hence, creating the look of multiplied lashes with volume.
To be honest with you, I love the wand and the brush! The brush at the end of the wand is curved which makes it easy to apply mascara on your lashes and it kind of follows the shape of your natural lash line. The bristles on the brush are defined and not too soft which is what I like the best about this mascara. I think that the design of the brush is a conglomeration of the brush designs of Maybelline Volum' Express The Falsies and Maybelline Volum' Express The Rocket mascaras.
The formula of the mascara liquid itself is nothing special however it does it's job so no complains there! The mascara is available in waterproof and non-waterproof formulas. I bought the waterproof formula as usual because the waterproof formula retains the curl of my lashes longer. That is a must for me since I am not blessed with naturally long and curled lashes.
The unique and best selling point of this mascara is definitely it's wand/brush for me. I don't really like to have too much volume on my lashes as I feel that it makes my lashes look clumpy and I so dislike that! I also do not strive for the false lashes look as I just like to keep my lashes looking natural. Instead, I prefer to elongate my lashes and to provide definition to them. And the mascara did just that! It made my puny lashes look long and pretty, and also defined them well avoiding me the tragedy of clumpy lashes. I am really impressed with this mascara and I can now see why it is raved about so much by vloggers and bloggers alike. I would mention the cons of this mascara but there aren't any! This is a must purchase for all ladies out there!
