Hello and Namaste to all!
Look what came in my mail? My June Glossy Box!!! Unlike last month, I will be able to share my impression of the June 2015 Glossy Box right on time!
The June Glossy Box is inspired by the festival season and 'sun drenched beaches'. It was nicely packaged like last time and was safely delivered to my home. I received three full sized products this month. So without further delay, let's have a look at the contents of the box!
I received a £25 gift card for Hello Fresh in my box. This would probably be exciting for those of you who love cooking and learning new recipes. I am not very keen about it because my family tends to stick with traditional Nepalese recipes at home. Also, I am concerned that once the ingredients get delivered to me, if I forget about cooking them, then they will just rot and will be a waste. This isn't one of the products I received but just I thought you guys might want to know about it.
You cannot have a festival season inspired box without the inclusion of flash tattoos. Flash tattoos and festivals have become synonymous with each other lately and is probably the most popular trend for summer this year. I am really excited to find these flash tattoos which have been exclusively designed for Glossy Box! I cannot wait to flaunt them once the sun is out!
The next full sized product I received was a bottle of Essence gel nail polish in the colour '4 ever young'. It costs £1.71. The colour is I think alright, nothing special. It is a rosy-reddish pink colour. To be honest, I would have preferred the other colours that some other subscribers received. I wouldn't consider it to be a high quality brand so I am quite disappointed with the brand of nail polish they sent us. Especially so since, I am very fond of painting my nails. I wasn't expecting them to send us a full sized product that costs only £1.71. Nevertheless, I will give it a try and hope it can impress me.
The final full sized product in my Glossy Box is the Kueshi Anticellulite Booster. The product costs £14.55. It is a light weight cream that claims to combat existing cellulite while preventing the formation of new cellulite. I feel quite hesitant about using this product to be honest. It seems to be a useful product for me as I do have existing cellulite. It also boasts of containing natural ingredients. It does have a mild fragrance that is pleasant. I have never used such a product before and I hope it is not too harsh for my skin.
I am really glad to have received this product as it would be a perfect travel companion for anyone to use in the summer. It is a sample sized product of the Monu Spa Rosewood Reviving Mist. The full sized product costs £11.95. It claims to be an energising mist that will hydrate, revitalise and gently perfume the skin. I hope to use this product when I go travelling in the near future. It seems to be an interesting product that I have never used before. I am excited!!
Apparently it is a sample sized product but to me, it seems more like a full sized product. The final product I received in my Glossy Box is the Halo fragrance free facial wipes. The travel size version of this product costs £1.20. It claims to be suitable for sensitive skin and leaves your skin feeling cleansed and moisturised. You can also use it to remove make up. Since, I have combination/ oily skin, I am a little concerned about whether it will cause my skin to break out. Although it is a useful product to have, whatever season it be, I wasn't particularly excited to find it in my box. I don't think it specifically represents the festival season or is especially summer relevant. So, I am a little disappointed.
Overall, the June 2015 Glossy Box was a little disappointing. The only products that actually were interesting and got me excited were the Flash tattoos and the Monu Spa Rosewood Reviving Mist. Nevertheless, I will try to keep an open mind and will give these products a try. I hope the team behind Glossy Box can design better boxes in the future.
So, that concludes my review of the June 2015 Glossy Box! I hope it was an enjoyable read and was helpful to you guys in any way!
Always keep smiling and shining bright!
Ambika.
